The Top 10 US Presidents

 These are based an the charactar of the men who have been President and  thier contributions to the United States. Let me just say I have many problems with almost all of the Presidents from 1865 to 1965.  None of them did anything significant to help black citizens after emancipation. Eisenhower started to, JFK talked about it, But it Took TV to nudge them in that direction. There are also the OVERATED Presidents:

Andrew Jackson: This guy killed the Bank of the US over a personal issue, and DEFIED the Supreme Court on an Indian rights case. In the case of the bank, it messed up the US economy for years.

FDR:  He stayed too long, mislead the citizens about his health ( the press is also to blame) and ignored the racial issues. Just because he was THERE during the war, doesn’t make him great, anyone would have done well. ( see Clinton)

JFK : What did this guy do really? He is famous because he died. I have looked at his history, and aside from being charasmatic, he still cheated on his wife, mislead the public about his health, made a major blunder in Cuba, and started the war in Vietnam.  The press ingnored his faults, He had a famous father, apointed his brother Attorney General and no one objected. ( if Bush had done this what would the reaction be?) . Yes he some good ideas, but really he was president 2 1/2 years, and then was killed . You cant be a good president because of AURA. You have to actually do something, or have principles.

Clinton: Well, lets face it,  the economic BOOM of the 90’s was not any direct result of his policies, but because of technology. It would have happened no matter what. He was kind of a weasel, certainly a likable one. Mostly because the same skills you need to be a good politician will also get you women. He wasn’t strong enough to resist, or tell the truth about it.

 So in my opinion here are MY  Top 10 Presidents of the USA: You will notice they  are all men of character that do what they say, despite the critics and polls.

1. George Washington, Beat the Brits, and had to start from scratch.

2. Abraham Lincoln, hated at the time, by both sides, history proved he was better.

3.Thomas Jefferson. While the Louisiana Deal, may have been unconstitutional, He did get a great deal.

4. Teddy Roosevelt. Expanded our empire and took us into the 20th century, which we owned.

5. Ronald Reagan- Not just because he ended the cold war. But he influenced the last 25 years of the 1900’s.

6. LBJ- He  did the right thing for black citizens -finally. The last Tough Guy the dems ever had.

7. Harry Truman- Made the tough decisions at the end of the war and afterward.

8. George H W Bush- A model Patriarch, and best world diplomat we had since Ben Franklin. Ross Perot split the vote in ‘92, cost him a 2nd term .

9. James Madison. Beat the brits in the rematch of 1812, other men would have given up, but his courage saved the country.

10. George  W Bush. Talk about strength of conviction. Our first Fraternity President , will be judged later on trying to change the world.  He is as hated by some as Lincoln  and Truman once were, because they did what they thought was right. All made tough war decisions, and were re-elected so they did something right. Besides he is just cool.
