At Least Clinton WONT win!!!

You know , there are many things that can happen between now and the Fall Election, but at LEAST I wont have to hear Hillary Rodham Clinton as president, and that shrill voice , night after night, for four years. I can live with Barak Hussein Obama , for four years, if thats the case, but at least it won’t be Clinton. I can think of at least three women I would like to see as President, but NOT her. Thank the Gods she is done.

She is right about one thing, Obama can’t get elected over McCain in the fall, or at least it will be REALLY close. Obama probably wont even carry Michigan, New Jersey, or PA, I think he loses more states than kerry did,

Dino Rossi would have kept the Sonics

 

Well, you can blame it on the Gov. Remember that next time there is an election, remember how SHE isn’t a sports fan, and is weak when it comes to making deals that can save a team. Christine Gregoire and state legislators who declined to authorize King County to use a portion of an existing tax toward the renovation project are part of the blame. Dino Rossi would NOT have let this happen.  Of course teh Stabucks guy never should sold the team in the first place, he could have gotten much more for the team , from a local owner , had he made the intention to sell public.

But short of that, the Gov and the Legislature could have saved the Sonics, and they just didn’t want them.

Seattle doesn’t want the Supersonics

Well, the Sonics played their last game in Seattle, and the residents of Washington State got what they wanted, the team will now be gone. Probably for the best, the NBA is not a popular league anymore, falling well behind Football , NASCAR and dare i say Baseball-which is is so boring SEE ARTICLE:

The Sonics leave the same way the NFL’s Browns left Cleveland. In the 90’s the people of Cleveland built new facilities for the Indians and the Cavs. While the Browns got the shaft, and the owner said “fine” and took the team elsewhere.  If they had just built the stadium that they eventually built anyway, -if they had built it early, the team would not have left.

Seattle gave the Seahawks and Mariners new facilities, even though the sonics were the first franchise there, and the first to win a title, But the people gave the Sonics the shaft. And over the last week lawmakers did the same, turning down another proposal that would have kept the team there. So the sonics will go. And it’s what the people want, they have had 2 years to save them , and they choose other things besides pro sports. I thought they would do what the San Francisco people did for the Giants , and come around at the last minute, and save the team.  BUT NO- The residents of western Washington are now even more liberal then NoCal.  I dont see how the funds will ever be raised publicly to get a new team there, when they couldn’t pay the money this time.  

 

What Recession? Cash is Flowing!

I keep hearing that the people in this country are strapped for cash, gas prices are too high, jobs paying too low, or no jobs at all. The economy is supposed to be in decline. At least according to Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, and the rest of the Democrat party.

YET, some $80 Million  was donated to the democrat campaigns in February, and like $70 Million in January. ALL from mostly small donors, not huge whales. So clearly people have money to spend. I would like someone , some expert perhaps on TV in the next few days to help explain this.

I think the economy is doing just fine, the democrat party is just trying to create demand. I certainly haven’t heard John McCain whine about the economy. I think he will point out what is GOOD about the economy and remind people that despite the fear the liberals are trying to spread, most people REALLY are doing OK. That would CHANGE, if the democrats increase taxes , increase spending, and put tighter restrictions on business.

Hey Hannity, Rush, Quit Bitching

This cabal of so called Conservative hosts, led by Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, which also include, Joe Scarborough, and Laura Ingraham, all need to get a grip on the 21st century. I like all of these people, I enjoy their work, but lately they have all started bitching about the GOP race results. I don’t get it.

It’s a little late to be complaining about the winner of the primaries. What did they think was going to happen?  None of the choices are perfect candidates, and it seems these guys will compare everyone to Reagan. Well, Reagan wasn’t perfect either, he raised taxes when he had too, and he signed the last Amnesty Bill , 20 years ago. YET they complain about McCain , when he seems to be more like Reagan than Romney. Unlike Romney, Reagan NEVER changed his views from the time he was governor, to president. I would argue McCain is the only real  GOP candidate that has the integrity and long conservative record to be president, even if you don’t agree with all his views.

Why didn’t these guys complain like this last spring, and find a candidate like President Bush, that embodied all the things they liked? It’s a bit late to bitch now! The voters clearly like McCain, nationwide, he wins in the south in Florida and South Carolina, and takes second in several other southern states. He wins in the NE, he wins in the west, easily taking California,, soon he will win the next contests, and YES he won several states with CLOSED GOP primaries. OK, Romney wins all the Mormon states, we get that, he wins his “home” states. but that’s all , the south didn’t embrace Romney, McCain didn’t overwhelm the south either, but he at least won a couple, so they will come around, and the talk radio crowd better come around as well.

And this whole primary deal is giving us a candidate that can WIN the general election against Clinton or obama, These talk show hosts forget that, they would rather run a candidate based on principle, than one who can win. For every conservative that sits out, the GOP may gain TWO independents. I would rather WIN. They should have seen this coming, and they should have found themselves a candidate , when George Allen lost in 2006.

 So perhaps, the electorate has changed in 2o years, and the Hannity-Rush crowd has NOT, and they need to get with this century, and get on board with the new GOP, it’s still conservative, but it’s also practical.  

McCain wins in N, S, E and West

What  great couple, John & Cindy McCain , the more I see them , the more I think they would make a great couple in the White House, and face it Image matters, we have to see them on TV everyday. He is THE only GOP candidate that wins in all parts of the country. What a Surprise, Romney wins the mormon states, and his 3rd home state where he was gov.-Massachusetts.

 McCain wins the big states, the rest of the Northeast and West and Huckabee picks up a few Dixie states- McCain got SECOND in most of those won by Huckabee. John McCain is the only GOP candidate that wins in the North, South, East and West.

Oh yeah, in the Democrat party, clinton & obama are still battling, But that Obama sure looks like a greta Candidate, and he has a nice wife too. We all know about about clinton’s wife or spouse, or partner, -whatever.

Cindy McCain would also make a great first lady, just to be fair, though here are the other potential GOP first ladies , Romney & Huckabee.

McCain on a ROLL !

Finally maybe the talking heads like Limbaugh and Hannity will SHUT UP, and get behind the only guy who will beat Clinton Or Obama this year. The big win in Florida and next week on super Tuesday should clinch it. Why do thes eguys hate him so much ? He has so many admirable qualities, and would make a great president right now.

It’s clear Romney can’t win any state that’s not next door to Utah or his Dad was Governor in. I don’t even think he will win Massachusetts. Why do so many OLD school republicans like Romney? They know he is not likely to win it all, but they just don’t like McCain because he is practical sometimes. I like Hannity, Limbaugh and Morning Joe, but GUYS WAKE UP ! ! McCain is the real deal to WIN, why would you vote on principle, instead of voting to WIN?

 If McCain picks a running mate like Rudy or Condi, or perhaps goes to the south, the GOP will have a strong ticket to go against anybody the democrat party comes up with.  

McCain UP, Romney Down

After Saturday’s primaries, its is clear. McCain is the Man. I participated in the Nevada caucus, I will be going to the county convention as a delegate, and it was clear that Most of Romney’s support comes from his church. I did not meet many caucus voters that were NOT LDS, that strongly supported Romney , and the LDS voters were 60-75% of the GOP turnout , by my calculations. I have nothing against the LDS church, many of my friends are members, I admire many of them. My point is that if Romney is going to WIN , not only the nomination , but the whole keg of beer, he is going to HAVE to get votes from all over.

So far, he has only done well, in states that his dad was Governor of, or border Utah. That’s not a wide appeal. he could change that, he may win some other states, but I will bet , that in a month, MCain is leading in delegates, states, and appeal to most GOP voters.

You cant win the Presidency, or even the GOP Nomination, if you don’t win votes in the south. John McCain proved that he can, and that’s all it will take to make other southern voters support him. He is the only one who can ACTUALLY WIN against Clinton or Obama. And that is the most important thing, winning & keeping the White House. Voting in principle or 1-2 issues, will not win the white house, The GOP needs to support the candidate that can WIN.

Why Do We Have to Have Primaries?

First of all, if you are going to have a GOP or Democrat Primary, then you should have to be a member of that party to vote in it. It only makes sense. Let the Independents vote in the general, but lets not let them pick some other party’s nominee.

Second, why can’t the state parties pick their delegates and send send them to a convention in MARCH not late summer. Then the delegates can caucus and vote it out like they used to. let the parties put forth WHO THEY want, and then let the public decide.  Let the parties decide who best represents what they want, who they think has the best chance to win, isnt that what parties were for in the first place?

If they want to test the waters with candidates, then have a big primary after Iowa, NH, and SC, and force the all but the top 2 to drop out. Face it , after the top 2 , the others are just getting in the way. Make deals like they used to to get guys and gals out of the way of ones who have a real chance.  Thats what Politics is -making deals. Instead , now everyone thinks he has a shot. The reason you have guys waiting around till Feb 5, is they think they have a chance. 

COME ON ! If you can’t win Votes in the Northeast, Midwest or the South, you really don’t have a shot do you? 

It is clear that the GOP is fractured into several factions all with their own narrow interests. But if you want a guy who can win It’s John McCain. If you want a guy who matches your interest, there are 5 other guys, only one can beat Clinton or Obama. That’s John McCain, he is the voice of reason, character, and integrity, he has paid his dues , waited his turn, and his time has come. No one else has the experience, knows how to work with congress, terrorism, and the world, than John McCain. His wife is a postcard first lady, ( Rudy’s 3rd wife- no, Huckabee’s wife- no, ) and image means allot. You may not agree with everything he stands for , but at least he is consistent, and he is the most acceptable to the most people. He will keep the Supreme Court conservative. Its time we get this field whittled down, so we can have a clear choice, among guys who can ACTUALLY win.

UDUB will never beat UCLA now

Well, we all knew this day would come. The UW will “rue the day” they let Rick Neuheisel go for betting in a neighborhood sports pool. The courts already agreed and made the UW write him a check. Now he will pay them back for the 5-10 years, while he coaches UCLA. you can bet EVERY game UCLA plays against the huskies in football, rick will do his very best to bury them, and unless Tyrone performs a miracle, the UW will be out recruited by Rick, and Charisma’ed, and outplayed every year beginning with 2008. I predict the Huskies will lose the 2008 game by 14 points at least. Tyrone’s last year ( 200 will be the first of many losses until the UW hires an even better coach, than Rick was while he was at UW.

UCLA will get to the Rose Bowl before the UW. That’s my prediction. he should have never been let go, the Huskies would never be in the position they are in now.

UPDATE; Let me just clarify thati use the term “courts” to include all legal proceedings that ended in the UW to paying Rick $4.5 million. It’s called “poetic License”
